Season-ending victory of Szenttamási Ménes
The Szenttamás team ended the 2024 season with a triumphant victory, a fitting crown to their year-long efforts. On the season-closing day, Frangipani, one of the stable’s most promising homebred mares, competed in a third-class 2200m long-distance race. During the race his rider, Ferenc Kun, showed tactical racing: He placed Frangipani at the rear of the field and then “launched” unexpectedly at the finish line. The mare made an impressive chase, overtaking her rivals one by one, to win the race, which deservedly won the praise of the spectators and the professionWith a total prize money of almost three million forints, Frangipani is one of the most successful and valuable homebred horses in the stable and will further enhance the reputation of the Szenttamás racing stable.
