Pannon Breeding Program – solution to the problems caused by climate change
The first phase of the Pannon Breeding program project GINOP 2.2.1-15-2017-00042 entitled “Genetic utilization of plants in the Pannonian region” is nearing completion. The Government of the European Union and Hungary contributed approximately 1,604 million HUF in non-refundable support to the implementation of the project launched in 2017. Researchers at the program looked for solutions to the problems caused by climate change. Through 4 years of work, they have worked to develop technologies and methods that are best suited to modern and innovative farming.
