Inauguration of the Knowledge Center
The Ministry of Finance, (former Ministry for National Economy) has issued a call for subsidies through „R&D competitiveness and excellence cooperation programme” within the framework of the Economic Development and Innovation Operational Programme (hereafter GINOP) for which the beneficiary has submitted a grant application registered under GINOP-2.2.1-15-2017-00042. The Project was awarded with support grant based on the Ministerial decision of 29. 06. 2017. The Consortium led by the Törökszentmiklósi Mezőgazdasági Zrt. (TM Zrt) received non-refundable financial support. The solemn Inauguration of the Knowledge Center took place on 20 September 2018 in Törökszentmiklós.
The CEO of TM Zrt Péter Tacopulosz opened the ceremony, which was followed by the speech of the professional leader of the Program, Dr. László Orlóci, who gave a brief lecture on the contents of the program. Speech were delivered by the Deputy State Secretary for the Utilisation of European Union Funding, Ministry of Finance, Balázs Greinstetter; Member of the Agricultural Committee of Parliament, Sándor Fazekas; and Member of the Parliament Sándor Kovács. Vice-president of the Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok County General Assembly Petra Fehér; Parliamentary Representative of the region István Boldog; Mayor of Törökszentmiklós Imre Markót and the research groups leaders were also present at the ceremony.
The speeches were followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony that took place in front of the Laboratory Building of the Knowledge Center, where Dr. László Orlóci, Sándor Fazekas and Sándor Kovács cut the ribbon. After the ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the guidance of Dr. László Orlóci, guests could visit the complex of the Knowledge Center: the Laboratory building, the climate house and the nursery stock. The ceremony was concluded with a reception at the Szenttamási Castle.
